UGBS Engages Prospective Students at Open Day Programme

UGBS Engages Prospective Students at Open Day Programme

The University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) successfully participated in the two-day Open Day programme organised by the University of Ghana Public Affairs Directorate from 11th to 12th December 2024. The event provided an invaluable platform for prospective students and their families to explore the educational offerings at UGBS, helping them make well-informed decisions about their academic journeys.

The first day of the programme featured a webinar that allowed prospective students to join online to learn about the diverse programmes available at the University of Ghana (UG). The virtual session enabled participants to ask questions and gain insights into the school’s academic and extracurricular offerings, fostering a deeper understanding of the opportunities at UG.

On the second day, the focus shifted to an on-campus experience, where participants were engaged in person. The event commenced with an exhibition showcasing the various academic programmes available at UGBS, including undergraduate, master’s, PhD, and short courses. Participants were also introduced to the flexible session options offered by the school, such as regular, weekend, and evening classes.

During the event, attendees received detailed information on academic programmes, admission requirements, career opportunities, general student support, and scholarship options. There were guided tours to provide a first-hand look at the campus and its facilities, including the library, laboratories, lecture halls, and student support centres. The tours allowed participants to familiarise themselves with the learning environment while addressing any specific concerns through interactions with faculty and staff.
